Charlotte has always loved animals and loved watching documentaries as a child. This grew into a passion and, after taking a year out of education to thoroughly explore the opportunities available, she went on to complete a BSc (Hons) in Zoo Animal Management. She has since gone on to work at several different collections with many different species. A good number of years has been spent working with primates.
Charlotte also loves to try and spend time helping animal charities and has spent time in South Africa and Costa Rica volunteering at sanctuaries. She even volunteers her time to scouts. Having been in scouting herself, from the age of eight, Charlotte has now become a leader and even completed her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. She wanted to help other young people do the same so has started to help with the Explorer Scouts as well, teaching them skills necessary to complete their Scouting Awards. Charlotte has always loved the educational side of animal care and has a lot of experience with animal talks and workshops. She really wants to help children find the same passion for animals that she has and believes that education is the key to protecting species, now and in the future.
